A strand of pearls is made by placing one pearl at a time,
A precious creation.
A brick wall is built by laying one brick at a time,
A strong foundation.
A marathon starts

A test of endurance.
A soaking rain falls for hours, a raindrop at a time,
A blessed assurance.
A fortune is made one dollar at a time,
A source of giving.
Gray hairs are earned one year at a time,
The price of living.
