This poem is dedicated to our daughter-in-law, Danielle, whose grandmother always called her "my little hummingbird".
Hummingbirds
Hummingbirds
Delicate delight,
Elegant in flight,
Try with all my
might,
To see this glorious
sight,
Tiny wings, majestic
beat,
Sipping nectar, red
and sweet,
Colorful and oh so
swift,
Petite wonders,
spirits lift,
Hummingbirds
Dance just for me,
Make me happy,
Filled with glee,
Hummingbirds
They flit, they
flitter,
Fill the air
Like glistening
glitter,
Flying past,
They dash, they dart,
And make their way
Into my heart
