Cloud Infatuation
Colossal, fluffy, cumulus clouds, aloft in the clear blue
sky,
Billowing like comfy goose down, inducing a huge sigh,
Developing distinctive shapes only seen with imagination,
Lately, these massive clouds have been my infatuation,
Bright, white clouds sometimes with undersides dark and
ominous,
Forecast our impending showers, amounts may look very
voluminous,
Rainwater weighs heavily on clouds as it’s about to drop,
Yet the wind carries the cloud over and to another stop,
Someone in the distance benefits from the downpour,
Our essential rainfall is not threatening us anymore,
It is the thunderstorms of summer that unpredictably come
and go,
Thunder rumbles loudly and lightning flashes to and fro,
One follows the other, and this fact makes me smile:
Light travels significantly faster than sound, 5 seconds is
a mile,
Don’t forget to check the sky, there’s clouds that should be
seen,
Take my advice, breathe a sigh, because it’s truly a
glorious scene.
