Smile!
Aim. Click. Flash cube melt, and then…
Advance the film on the old 110,
Waiting to get to exposure # 24,
Remember when photography was such a chore?
When it was weeks before the roll was complete,
Then the film had to be taken the store down the street,
Left there for a time, for the film to be developed,
Then prints picked-up with the negatives, specially
enveloped,
And the photo opportunity was gone with the wind,
It’s not like we could retake and resend,
Nowadays, we have the luxury of immediate results,
Take as many as we want, children and adults,
Handy and quick, at our fingertips, a camera phone,
A few years ago, we could never have known,
The ease at which photography would become,
Take plenty, delete most and keep some.

My Memaw always referred to the camera as a "kodak".
"Get your kodak and take our picture."
