Tomboy

Tomboy

Bruised shins and scrapped knees,

Interested in climbing trees,

Messy bun or ponytail,

This girl is tough, tough as nails,

Rough and tumble is her way,

She’s an adventurer every day,

Dirty face and hands; don’t care,

She will wear what daddy wears,

With camouflage pants and matching shirt,

She’s not afraid of a little dirt,

Her hair is sometimes in a tangle,

And most times she is hard to wrangle,

Sweet as candy, but stubborn as a mule,

She won’t be anybody else’s fool,

A rod and reel are her best wish,

She desires to catch a fish,

Or throw a ball, or kick a rock,

She is friends with all livestock,

Her courage is admirable; her smile is contagious,

She is mannerly, but her energy is outrageous,

All in all, she brings us joy,

She is our princess and tomboy!
