The Carousel
The carousel called out to me,
It’s only a short ride; It’ll be fun, you’ll see,
Come on along, climb up here,
Conquer all your childlike fear,
It was as if the carousel knew me by name,
And the colorful animals did appear quite tame,
An Ostrich with a saddle was very intriguing,
(Running in circles all day must be fatiguing,)
Not to mention, the giraffe, the tiger and bunny,
They all were inviting and somewhat funny,
The traditional and majestic horses were plenty,
Spotted, white, black and brown- there were many,
All of them were adorned so ornately,
I hadn’t visited my inner child lately,
So, I thought I’d just give it a whirl,
Because time is flying for this old girl!
